Damn that's enough

This poem was inspired by an argument I had with my best-friend, Marygorret Mutheu on Tuesday 1st February. Later the same week, on Friday 4th of February, I had a discussion with some friends over dinner on the same topic.

One day I will find that love
I can readily get lost in
Love so true and worth defending
Which gives me a reason to face the day
One day I will be strong to let it consume me!

One day I will find that love
Worth living for, worth dying for, worth fighting for
Worth every breath, worth every strength
One day I will be strong enough to let it rock my world

One day I will find that love
That is as gentle as a dove
But that will still raise me above
That aims to make me see and yearn to achieve greatness
One day I will be strong enough to let it be

One day I will find that love
Worth spending my time and wealth
Worth securing my hopes and dreams in
One day I will be strong enough to trust in it

One day I will find that love
That will wipe my tears and celebrate in my joy
Unconditional and satisfied
One day I will be strong enough to totally believe in it

One day I will find that love, I can rely on
Love so high, so wide, so full, so pure;
I will have to scream! Damn that’s enough!
One day, I am sure I will find that love
Am just not sure how long it will last
But I will be strong to care less!
